Reading time
3 minutes

CSKA finished their pre-season training with a victory in their last control. In Thessaloniki, the Reds defeated Aris 2:0.

Atanas Ribarski started with the following starting line-up: 33. Genadiy Ganev – 24. Erdenis Gurishta, 87. Simeon Petrov, 5. Heliton, 4. Miki Orachev – 18. Ivaylo Chochev, 21. Emil Tsenov – 10. Georgi Rusev, 7. Thalis , 99. Radoslav Kirilov (K) – 20. Antonio Vutov

The beginning of the match offered some good attacks for both teams, but without an accurate shot on either goal.

A quarter of an hour after the start of the match, Georgi Rusev broke through from the right and crossed for Antonio Vutov, who shot out.

Five minutes later, the debutant Tallis entered the penalty area and passed to Rusev, who shot on the move but over the goal.

The Greek team responded to the challenge of their Bulgarian opponent and created several good opportunities. First, Vladimir Darida received a pass in the penalty area and shot, but after a ricochet the ball went over Ganev's goal. A mistake followed in the delivery of the ball by CSKA, which was taken advantage of by Lucas Rupp, who entered the penalty area, but after a wonderful intervention by Gennady Ganev, he managed to take a corner kick. By the end of the half, Aris had two more strikes through Luis Palma and Javier Savry, but Ganev dealt with the situations.

The second half started off great for CSKA. In the 49th minute, Stoyan Stoichkov, who appeared as a reserve, took advantage of a misunderstanding between two players in yellow and black teams and took the ball, struck a shot from about 20 meters and brought the Reds forward in the result.

Ten minutes later, CSKA scored a second goal. Tom Rapnuil made a good break from the left and assisted the uncovered Georgi Rusev, who immediately struck to make it 2:0.

By the end of the match, Daniel Naumov was able to keep CSKA goalless with several good performances.

Thus, CSKA ended its pre-season training with victories over Aris and Sepsi, a draw against Maribor and losses against Dinamo Zagreb and Panathinaikos.
