FC CSKA 1948 - The moral heir of CSKA

One love, one fight, one team!

After the deliberate bankruptcy of CSKA in 2016, perhaps the darkest year and period in the history of the army club, CSKA fans and legends established FC CSKA 1948 at the Military Club in Sofia.

Disagreeing with the renaming of PFC Litex Lovech to CSKA-Sofia and the attempt to replace the brand and name of CSKA with a "marketing trick", they began the moral revival of CSKA, establishing the "FC CSKA 1948" association, as well as the beginning of FC CSKA 1948 starting from the lowest level of Bulgarian football, in an honest and worthy way for the army club.

The team successively won the lowest (4th) Bulgarian league, the Third League and the Second Professional League of Bulgaria in their second attempt, before climbing to the highest level in Bulgarian football - efbet League in 2019.

After the deliberate bankruptcy of CSKA in 2016, major army figures and legends started working in CSKA 1948, such as: Angel Rangelov, Spas Djevizov, Stoycho Mladenov, Radoslav Zdravkov, Metodi Tomanov, Lyuboslav Penev, Metodi Deyanov, Galin Ivanov, Valentin Iliev, Todor Yanchev , Yordan Yurukov, Emil Gargorov, Kiril Kotev and many other former and current football players and red public figures and iconic fans.

What's more - with each subsequent football season, the team climbs further in the rankings, winning bronze medals in the last championship and qualifying for participation in European club tournaments.

The club's development concept is based on forcing Bulgarian footballers to play the role of "backbone" in the team, as a major focus and an important task for the club is the development of a strong youth academy and the creation of the new football stars of CSKA and the Bulgarian football.
